Gemma Warren is a British-Canadian Photographer and Motion Director. Graduating from the  Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Photography at the Ryerson University School of Image Arts, Toronto, Canada, Gemma has a diverse background both commercially and artistically and has been recognized in recent years working for internationally recognized brands, clients and projects such as: MAC Cosmetics, Nike, Reformation, Mejuri, Vans, Ford, Google, The North Face, Canada Goose, Pantene, Ulta Beauty and The New York Times.  


Gemma’s work is both recognizable, established and important to the growth of work created by women in North America. Her works have been screened, exhibited and published globally, winning awards and grants from the Canada Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council and the Magenta Foundation for Photography.  Her directorial work has been published exclusively by W Magazine, Nylon Magazine, Noisey, Vice, Billboard Magazine, Paper Mag and Lenny Letters. She has been awarded and selected for screening at the CANNES SHORTS Film Festival, The Los Angeles Music Video Awards and recently premiered new work at CANNES LIONS International Festival of Creativity in France.


Gemma was also the founder and Creative Director of Toronto based art and culture publication CARBON PAPER running from 2014-2018 and sat on the curatorial board for the Toronto Art Book Fair 2015-2017.
